We had a fantastic trip/ walk! Thanks for organising everything so well.
The weather was of course rather extreme, and the walks for that reason sometimes very hard. But lovely and so beautiful with all the snow.
The first B&B in Corbridge was very good. The second in Humshaugh was also very good, because it was new it was even better than the first.
Lovely room!! We stayed there two nights due to the snow. That was a pitty but well solved by mickledore.
Overall a wonderful experience, many thanks again.

We were delighted with the arrangements Mickledore made for us in walking St Cuthbert’s Way. The B & Bs were of excellent quality and that’s really important when you’ve been walking all day. The weather was cold, although we did get a little sunburnt (!) and except for the mildest of showers at the end of the second day, we saw no rain at all- almost a miracle when walking in the hills!

My friend and I enjoyed our trip immensely. This was a trip that was truly one of a kind. Though it was challenging, it was also memorable for the sites and all the wonderful people we met along the way. Thanks again for making this possible for us.

“I am delighted to be able to reply with lots of positive feelings following the walk I recently completed on the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. My companion and I were incredibly lucky with outstanding October weather and I know that this does of course, make a difference to the overall enjoyment of such an outdoor pursuit. We appreciated it hugely and the result was uplifting and we managed the ups and downs along the cliffs and between headlands without too much difficulty. We found the guest houses to be of a very good standard overall as well as being conveniently located. We were given a warm welcome at the end of each day’s walk and were very well looked after. Delicious breakfasts and luggage always there to greet us! We also enjoyed the local history and points of interest along the way – so all in all a thoroughly memorable few days. We hope to complete the Cleveland Way on another occasion and feel very happy to look into further walks/challenges in the future. Thank you for a well organised holiday.”

“We really did have a great time, and we are very satisfied with the arrangements that Mickledore made for us. Thanks for helping to make this a great vacation. We will certainly be in touch next time we decide to take a walking holiday in the UK.”

“I would like to take this opportunity to commend the staff of Mickledore for their superior professionalism and client relations. I have the highest degree of satisfaction concerning my dealings with Mickledore. I would also like to express my special appreciation of the timely, efficient and warm communications from Fiona. It felt like I was talking to a friend when making my travel arrangements and posing questions. Everything concerning my trip went smoothly. My bag always arrived in a timely manner at my accommodations. The proprietors of the accommodations were welcoming and generous in their hospitality. I also appreciated the information concerning travel connections such as bus schedules and train travel websites. It was also helpful to have a list of the services that could be found at various locals along the way such as pharmacies, shops and banks. I would not hesitate to use the company again in any plans that I might have to walk other paths in Britain.”

Coast to Coast, September 2012

“We were very happy with everything provided by Mickledore. We thought the holiday pack was very thorough. The maps and accommodation instructions were terrific.
Mickledore was recommended to us by a friend in England and we would not hesitate to pass on your details to others and have already done so in a couple of cases.
We did enjoy it immensely, and if we are in a position in the future to come over there and do something else we will certainly contact you.”

Coast to Coast, September 2012

“We are already talking about coming back next year for the part from Kirkby Stephen to Robin Hood’s Bay. Of course we will choose Mickledore, we were quite satisfied with your arrangements. Thanks again for the very good arrangements.”

Coast to Coast, August 2012

“We had a wonderful time!
The different b&bs were all marvellous where each had their own “personality”. The service and follow-up was without exceptions – perfect from our point of view.
The route was a mix of countryside and panoramic (almost) mountainish view – very different from our earlier walking experiences in Norway.”

Hadrian’s Wall, August 2012

“We both really enjoyed our four days walking, despite being novice hikers and luckily we did train for this, so our fitness levels were up to speed.
All the accommodation was very nice.
Most of all, it was really nice being away from civilisation and was fun to meet other walkers going the same way or in the opposite direction.
Having done this first walk, I feel I have gained confidence and feel inspired to try other trails and footpaths.”
