This is just to let you know that we had a fantastic holiday. Everything was (as always) very well organized. The B&Bs were more than ok, the information we received was just perfect for doing the walk and we were extremely lucky with the weather. Hopefully we can say the same next year!

Pembrokeshire Coast Path, September 2014

Really brilliant! We had a ‘ball’, organisation was impeccable, B&B’s were exceptionally helpful. Baggage carrying impeccable. We enjoyed our two days off and concur with your recommendation to stop in Grasmere and Richmond.

Coast to Coast, September 2014

Would you use mickledore again? Definitely yes! We booked with Mickledore based on a friend’s recommendation and would recommend your services to others. A couple of hosts mentioned that you were the best organised of all the companies they dealt with for walking guests.

A very enjoyable holiday, thank you. Route is very well sign posted. Guesthouse B & Bs all excellent; clean, comfortable, very friendly without being intrusive, excellent breakfasts and attention to detail throughout.

St Oswald’s Way, September 2014

We have nothing but good things to say about Mickledore. The accommodations were uniformly comfortable (even if I’ll never get used to duvets!) I think you wrote that you had given us one upgrade (at no charge), and we honestly couldn’t figure out which one it was. We especially enjoyed talking with Mavis and Gerald at Aidanfield Guest House in Fenwick and Carole and Jamie at Bamburgh View on Holy Island (who, by the way, had high praise for Mickledore). Since we left early a couple of mornings, I can’t compare all the hot breakfasts, but again, they were all very good. If I had to single one breakfast that stood out for its creativity as well as taste, it would be the one at Meadhon House in Jedburgh (Sorry, I can’t remember our hostess’ name.) All the packed lunches were also good.

Really valued the materials you sent, especially Turnbull’s detailed directions, which we often consulted, as well as the directions to each of the B&B’s.

We have enjoyed working with you, and should we ever decide on another holiday in the UK, we’ll be contacting you again,

St Cuthbert’s Way, September 2014

The diversity in accommodation provided a rich experience. We will definitely use you again, looking at future plans right now.

Hadrian’s Wall, September 2014

Just to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our Cotswold Way holiday.

The organisation of our luggage and the evening stops was very good.

We were very lucky with the weather on our walk – in fact it was rather too hot for walking! We’re never satisfied about the weather in England are we? Seriously though, we found the walk quite a challenge and with hindsight would have spent one or two more days walking. It was a push for us in 7 days. We decided to have an extra night in Bath at the end of the walk which was a really good idea – time to relax.

We are planning another walk next year and will definitely use your services when we have decided where to go.

Cotswold Way, September 2014

First of all, I was very impressed with the organization, the accommodation, the way the luggage just seemed to be waiting for me each day. You would like my impression of each nights accommodation, I have decided not to do that, as it amounted to 25 nights, for the first while I would say to myself, this was the best yet, then found I was only repeating the same thing each morning. I found everything just lovely, the rooms were all different and quite unique, clean rooms, and bathrooms, comfortable beds, just lovely folk running these places, wanting to make you coffee and goodies when you arrived, or willing to help with anything to make you comfortable, it was just lovely and very appreciated by me.

I was on my own walking, actually did not walk to often on the Coast to Coast on my own, it was difficult not to get lost, without much in the way of sign posts, so the book was like a bible, you were always looking at it. I met and walked with some charming people, it was quite hard walking each day, and I was advised to do it in the 17 days, and that was very good advice for me, as this was to celebrate my 80th birthday, (my own present to myself).

I am giving the whole trip a 10 out of 10, and you even managed 17 days without rain, perfect. Thank you.

Coast to Coast, September 2014

Our holiday this year in Northumberland was wonderful. What a beautiful part of the UK with lovely people and lovely food! Thank you for organising our trip again for us this year.

Northumberland Coast Path, September 2014

Nothing to add. We enjoyed our holiday, thank you. We will be in touch if we want to book another walking holiday.
