Our walking tour was wonderful! We really enjoyed it, and have been talking about it every day since.The accommodation was excellent – all rooms were very nice and the owners of each B&B were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts and lunches were tasty and enjoyable. We would have gladly stayed at some of the towns and accompanying B&B’s for longer periods.Mark and his bag carry service were professional and efficient. It was so nice to arrive at the B&B at the end of a very long day and have our bags waiting for us – often in our rooms.

The walk itself was spectacular. I will spend the rest of my life recommending to people that they take this walk or one like it. We are fortunate that our kids (boy 15 and girl 11) are very sporting and coped really well with the distance – they thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was a very special family experience. I don’t really have anything else to offer – just that it was fantastic and we are all really glad we did it. I can imagine doing more with you in the future.

We really tried to find something to have criticism about, but we can’t!

The Dales Way is a lovely walk with scarcely a dull moment. Despite some dull weather, we enjoyed it immensely.

We have previously booked trips with other arrangers, and also arranged walks on our own. There is no question that the detailed information you provide, and the caliber of your service in response to my questions are certainly the best we have ever enjoyed on such an outing. My father and I have just completed Hadrian’s Wall and the Coastal walk of the Cleveland Way and what an enjoyable time was had. The accommodation at all stops was exceptional as were the hosts who were most accommodating to our needs. We never went hungry at breakfast or in the packaged lunches for the walks. They advised us of suitable venues for evening meals depending on our needs and we can honestly say we couldn’t fault any of them. We were fortunate that the weather was good, there were a couple of days where it tried to rain and one day towards the end of Hadrian’s Wall Walk where we were walking in the rain for about 1 hour – but that didn’t dampen our spirits.

The correspondence and efforts of the Mickeldore Staff should not go unrecognised. From the moment that I placed the enquiry they provided the necessary details and once initial payment was made, they advised within 48 hours that the accommodations had been booked. Any query I had was responded to within a very short period of time. Needless to say I’m currently working on what to do next year and should I choose to do more walking will be using Mickeldore and recommending to friends.

We were pleased with the accommodation and meal planning and your arrangements ensured that we had a great holiday. The weather was hot and it was hard work but we really enjoyed it.

We just got back from our vacation yesterday. I can’t tell you how many times my wife, other walkers, and I commented on how much we appreciated the wonderful job you did arranging our tours. The attention to detail concerning our reservations at the various B & Bs and hotels was outstanding. Our bags were always ready and waiting when we reached the destination of the day. It was obvious from comments made by the various proprietors, that they were anxious to satisfy their Mickledore patrons.Thank you again for making our coast to coast ramble so memorable. I booked this trip late, at a very busy time, with very specific dates. No other company could provide it, and one company referred me to Mickledore. I was most impressed that you could provide the trip, and even though I booked late, I was most impressed with the standard of accommodation.
