I want to let you know that the whole walk was perfect and very enjoyable. Except for the very first part, the scenery was beautiful. It was also organised without any problem, regardless our late booking.

The experience we had on our 5 days walking with Mickledore was fantastic. Thank you for everything – hopefully see you next year.

We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone. The B&B’s were fine and the luggage transport service was ideal. We’re not very experienced walkers – this was our 1st walking holiday and we never walked four days in a row, plus it included the longest distance we’d ever walked in 1 day on the 2nd day. But we made it and are very happy about that.

We really enjoyed it and (because it was more physical activity in a holiday than we’re used to) found that it had been a long time since we forgot about work so much as now. The walking required the energy we would otherwise have used in staying in touch with work. So that was a very good thing!

You are to be commended for the excellent service you provide.

The entire trip went smoothly – Everything from the preparation materials you sent to us prior to our departure to the accommodations, the baggage pickup service and the eating arrangements.

Having baggage transfer and B&B accommodation was a new venture for us as on previous walking holidays we have walked with a group of established friends, stayed in our caravan and used cars at the beginning and end of each day’s walk. In this fashion we have completed the South West Coastal Path and other long distance trails.
However, we were certainly not disappointed by the change and very much enjoyed the experience of different and characterful places; it also meant we could concentrate purely on the walking, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We met some lovely folks along the way, some of whom we met up with on an evening.
Thank you very much for your service. All the hosts speak very highly of Mickledore. We loved our holiday and look forward to next year when we will do the other half of the Coast to Coast.

Our trip was great, many thanks. The walk was much harder than I thought it would be but we survived and slept very well each night being exhausted. Your organisation and literature was all good. Our walk ran smoothly. The only thing I had wished I known to bring waterproof pants with us! Looking back now though we were glad we did it.

We had a wonderful holiday, combination of Cotswold’s Way and Bath. The weather was almost too good.
All in all we are very satisfied with most of your service and the chosen accommodation.

Loved our holiday. Hadrian’s Wall has great scenery and walking but the history makes it special. We are glad we went slow enough to be able to visit all the forts which have excellent interpretive centres and visiting Vindolanda on our rest day was quite amazing. We were also lucky with the weather!

We had a great time and would happily choose Mickledore again – the accommodations ranged from excellent to brilliant.

Your responses were timely and helpful, much appreciated since our number kept growing. Your website helped us select the St. Cuthbert’s Way walk in the first place (in the end, by the way, my daughter and family joined us for the whole walk – your great help in putting together our trip made it possible for Keirsten and family to arrange a parallel journey on what was literally the spur of the moment).
We especially appreciated having the clear directions to accommodations and so nice to have the luggage already there waiting for us every time we arrived.
In short, we had a fabulous time. We were lucky with the weather (of course I take full credit for bringing you the California sun – never a chance to use our rainwear or midge repellant), but know that even if the weather had been more typical of the Borders area we would have had a terrific time because of your attention to the details of our holiday.
