Our holiday was walking self-guided from St. Bees to Robin Hoods Bay in northern England. This is the (soon to be national trail) Coast to Coast Path of Alfred Wainwright. Luckily for us, the weather was without compare. We had almost no rain, lots of sunshine and delightful temperatures. The walk took us through some amazing locations in the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and the North Yorkshire Moors. While, we tried to take advantage of the most memorable route options along the walk, there were lots of options which led to lots of variety. It will take a long time for us to waer of the excitement of having completed this adventure.
We booked the Coast to Coast Walk in 13 days with Mickledore, and they provided us with a wondeful holiday. We often felt like we had the best choice of accomodation in each of the towns which we stayed in. It felt like Mickledore had planned each leg of the walk with lots of fore-thought. And each leg brought new sights and adventures of its own. We also had our baggage transfered for us through Mickledore using Coast to Coast Packhorse. The transfers were seamless and without any issue. We felt that Mickledore offered a great holiday for the price. We would definately recomend them to other walkers.
